It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Albert Attwell Bussey announces his passing. Albert passed away from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Care Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, April 20th, 2019 at the age of 89 years.
Albert is predeceased by his parents – Solomon and Elsie Bussey; parents-in-law – Peter and Caroline Mitchell; siblings – Doug Bussey and Reginald Bussey; siblings-in-law – Marian Bussey, Herbert Mitchell (Melba), George Mitchell, Hilda Fudge (Gordon), Flossie Taylor, Blanche Regular, Chesley Mitchell, Levi Canning and Ralph Mitchell.
Left with fond and loving memories is his wife of 47 years, Judy Bussey, Woodstock, NL; grandchildren – Carter and Taylor Hayward; siblings – Harold Bussey (Melvina), Greta Canning, Jack Bussey (Sheila), Valance Bussey (Yvonne), Major Lester Bussey (Major Bonnie), Nelson Bussey (Diana), Hazel Gee (Pastor Leroy) and Vincent Bussey; siblings-in-law – Woodrow Mitchell (Lillian), Sheila Simms (Alphonsus), Reginald Mitchell (Jessie), Mackenzie Mitchell (Marion), Bernice Regular (Pleman), Pearce Mitchell (Maxine), Rex Mitchell (Gloria), Marion Bussey, Bertha Mitchell, Norman Taylor (Goldie), Melvin Regular, Ella Mitchell (Allan), Violet Mitchell and Mary-Lou Bussey, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Majors George & Karen Crocker, assisted by Majors Lester & Bonnie Bussey conducted the Funeral Service from The Salvation Army Citadel, Woodstock, NL on Friday, April 26th, 2019. Interment followed from The Salvation Army Cemetery, Woodstock, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
The Bussey family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Care Centre and to home care workers, Leona Norman and Maxine Mitchell for their loving care during Albert's illness.
