It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Annie Josephine Alyward announces her passing. Josephine passed peacefully away from the Copper Crescent Long Term Care Facility, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 at the age of 94 years.
Josephine is predeceased by her husband – Bernard Alyward (1985); daughter – Mary Catherine Rose (2001); grandchildren – Jachin Estes and Cory Alyward; parents – Frederick & Annie Haas; sister – Mary Catherine Haas; sons-in-law – Ken Dubeau and Wayne Glover and daughter-in-law – Kim Alyward.
Left with fond and loving memories are her children – Gerald Alyward (Donelda), Lawrence Lake, AB, Ted Alyward (Alberta), Island Lake, AB, Nora Geno (Harold), East St. Paul, MB, Anne Dubeau, Benoit’s Cove, NL, Elizabeth Glover, Spruce Grove, AB, Loyola Alyward (Carmel), Baie Verte, NL, Edward Alyward (Sheila), Lloydminster, AB, Melvin Alyward (Elena), Lamont, AB, Cavell Alyward, Nanimo, BC, Gregory Alyward (Jim), Verona, ON, Dennis Alyward (Marilyn), Edmonton, AB, Richard Alyward (Theresa), Kelowna, BC and Reg Alyward (Shirley), Edmonton, AB; 33 grandchildren as well as a large circle of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Father Camillus Ekedobe conducted the Mass of Christian Burial from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Baie Verte, NL on Tuesday, November 27th, 2018. Interment followed from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Josephine’s memory to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL.
