It is with deep sadness, yet joyful anticipation, that the family of the late Betty Marie Ryan announces her Promotion to Glory. Betty passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord from the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, Fort McMurray, AB on Monday, January 14th, 2019 at the age of 82 years.
Predeceased by her husband Raymond Ryan; daughters - baby Sheila and Melinda Ryan; parents – Herbert and Mabel Bishop; parents-in-law – William and Unice Ryan; brothers - Woodrow Bishop and Gordon Bishop (Jeanette); sisters - Florie Johnson (Doug) and Eileen Andrews; sisters-in-law - Sheila Ryan, Idella Burton (Ralph), Phyllis Burton (Weir); brothers-in-law - Jim Ryan (Ethel Critch), Dorman Ryan and Cecil Ryan.
Left with fond and loving memories is her son - David (Maxine); daughter – Diane; grandchildren - Darren (Heidi), Melissa (Brent); great-grandchildren - Tony, Ian, Phillip, Richard and Isabella; siblings-in-law – Willie Ryan (Anne), Grogan Ryan (Patsy), George Ryan (Neta), Julie Wiseman (Roy), Dorothy Locke, Marjorie Ryan, Nina Ryan and Eric Andrews; special friend – Betty Curtis, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, Corps family, and innumerable friends.
Majors Ron and Joyce Stuckless, assisted by Captains Brent and Melissa Haas conducted the Funeral Service from The Salvation Army Citadel, La Scie, NL on Sunday, January 20th, 2019. Interment followed from The Salvation Army Cemetery, La Scie, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Betty’s memory to assist the family.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
