It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Donald Michael "Don" Clance announces his sudden passing. Don passed away from the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019 at the age of 71 years.
Predeceased by his parents – Lawrence and Elizabeth Clance; parents-in-law – Nicholas and Olive Dicks; siblings – Leonard Clance, Dave Clance, Jerome Clance, Josie Rogers (Richard) and Theresa Clance; siblings-in-law – Sid Leblanc, William Brown, Woodrow Dicks (Olive), Bert Dicks, Garland Pardy and Madeline Gray (Cyril).
Left with fond and loving memories is his wife of 44 years - Sheila Clance; children – Todd Clance and Wanda-Lee Clance (Tim Morey); precious grandchildren – Lincoln and Quinn Bungay (father – Stephen Bungay); special friend – Harley; siblings – Pauline Brown, Rose Leblanc, Helen Burton (Kerwin), Brenda Rideout (Junior) and Paul Clance; siblings-in-law – Joanne Clance, Mildred Clance, Fey Clance, Truman Dicks (Taffie), Pratt Dicks (Kay), Pierce Dicks (Marcie), Ruby Pardy, Ivy Willis (Frank) and Elizabeth Combdon (Wilbert Abbott), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Father Camillus Ekedobe conducted the Funeral Mass from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, La Scie, on Friday, January 18th, 2019 at 2:00PM.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefuly accepted or donations may be made in Don's memory to the Baie Verte Peninsula Special Olympics via Foster Funeral Home, P.O. Box 549, Baie Verte, NL, A0K 1B0.
