It is with broken hearts, yet joyful anticipation, that the family of the late Florence Evelyn (Rideout) Jennings announces her sudden passing. Florence was Promoted to Glory at the Grande Cache Community Health Complex, Grande Cache, AB on Tuesday, September 29th, 2020 at the age of 93 years.
Florence is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Woodrow; parents - Harris & Mary-Ann Rideout; brothers - Lloyd (Flossie), Frederick (Jean) & Eric (Elizabeth); sister - Rowena Rice (Howard) & brother-in-law -Lesley Osbourne.
Left with fond and loving memories are her children - Bruce Jennings (Mildred), Truro NS, Karen Doyle (John), Saint John, NB, Doreen McKay (Gerald), Grande Cache, AB, Robert Jennings (Ruth), Oakpoint, NB, & Brenda Gallant (Sam) Saint John, NB; grandchildren: Tracy Doyle, Trena McKinnon (Troy), Mefandwy Osbourne (Joe), Willette Ayles (Ruben), Jordan McKay (Trina), Jill Atcheson (Adam), Katherine McGregor (Blair), Randolph Jennings (Lisa), Joanne Aylward, Tarryn, & Connor Gallant; great-grandchildren - Challis & Jade Pilgrim, Trinity & Taliha McKinnon, Nathan, Sarah, & Zoey Osbourne, Jake Ryan, Brooklynn & Kaitlynn Ayles, Easton & Kypton McKay, Mariah & Nicholas Atcheson, Jaden Hewey, Eliza-Rae Aylward & her sister - Hazel Osbourne.
Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation. Majors Frank and Rita Pittman conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL. Interment followed at St. Swithin's Community Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL.
We encourage extended family and friends to share condolences, memories and/or photos to Florence’s memorial wall, available on our website. All items will be documented and displayed in our personalized guestbook and presented to the Jennings family.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Florence's memory to the Salvation Army Citadel, Woodstock Corps.
