“A million times we’ve needed you
A million times we’ve cried,
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a space
No one can ever fill.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
A piece of us went with you
The day God called you home!”

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.

I only met Georgina once and that was a couple of years ago. I was in Burlington on business and on request by Marjorie Young I stopped in to her home to visit her. She was having lunch, her home care worker was with her. We had a nice little visit which I recounted with Marjorie on my next visit with her. Marjorie speaks of Georgina often and with great fondness . Shortly after our trip to Burlington Georgina was admitted to the home. During my visit with Marjorie yesterday she informed me of Georgina’s passing. I found the obituary on my iPad and Marjorie read it. My condolences to all the family.

Rick, Tina and family, my heart is with you today. Your grandmother was a gracious soul. I have so many precious memories of visits to her house with Tina when we were so young. She was always so cheerful, so giving and welcoming. I remember never being allowed to leave unless we sat down to eat a snack or took one with us. You were blessed to have had her, as she was to have had you all. Hold on to the memories and each other! Sending my deepest condolences

My thoughts and prayers go to the Perry family as they grieve the loss of an amazing woman, Aunt Georgina. My earliest memory of her was about 12 years ago, just shortly after I moved to Burlington, she would have been 80. I was driving down the road and I seen this older woman lying in the ditch! Being a mainlander, I panicked a little and slowed down abruptly. I rolled down my window, only to see her turn and wave at me; there she was, with her butter tub, picking blueberries! I smiled and moved along. She was definitely one of a kind, and such a beautiful soul!
