It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Henry “Newton” Craig Norman announces his passing. Newton passed peacefully away from his family cottage in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Monday, July 9th, 2018 at the age of 75 years.
Predeceased by parents – Willis & Emily Norman; brothers – Ford Norman, Byron Norman and Pastor Glynn Norman; siblings-in-law – Marion Thompson, Hope Burton, James Locke and Bert Rideout.
Left to cherish a lifetime of extraordinary memories is his wife of 53 years, Alma; sons – Nolan Norman (Diane), Neil Norman (Allison), and Andy Norman (Kim Hurley); grandchildren – Ryan Norman (Ashley), Brittany Norman, Rebecca Norman and Kennedy Norman; step-grandchildren – Bradley Roche, Samuel Murphy and Cameron Murphy; great-granddaughter - Sophie Ella Norman; siblings – Velma Rideout, Rowena Locke, Peggy Morey (Guy), Judy Mugford (Sid), Wavey Crane (Don), Harvey Norman (Ruby), Boyde Norman (Una), Graham Norman (Ruth) and Billy Norman (Nancy); siblings-in-law – Judy Kelly (Leo), Shirley Norman, Melvie Norman, Herb Burton and Ron Thompson; caretaker - Mary Wheeler as well as an incredible large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pastor Junior R. Winsor and Pastor Edwin J. White conducted Newton’s Home-Going Celebration from Trinity Pentecostal Church, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, July 12th, 2018. Interment followed from Trinity Pentecostal Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL.
Pallbearers were Ryan Norman, Brittany Norman, Graham Norman, Bill Norman, Rebecca Norman and Kennedy Norman.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Newton's memory to the Gideon's International.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
