Obituary for James "Jim" Haas

James "Jim"  Haas
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late James "Jim" Haas announces his passing. James passed away at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Care Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 at the age of 74 years.

Jim is predeceased by his son - Robert Haas; parents - James and Ethel Haas; brothers - Lar Haas, Michael Haas and Paddy Haas; sisters - Bridget Sullivan (Jimmy), Loretta Haas, Elizabeth Sullivan (Claude) and Mary-Ann Seymour (Ambrose); parents-in-law - Patrick and Cecilia Matthews; brothers-in-law - Thomas Matthews, Alphonsus Matthews, Ignatius Matthews, Walter Matthews (Shirley), James Sullivan and Claudio Villalta; sisters-in-law - Dorothy Holling, Marie Matthews and Bernice Corbett (Edward).

Left with a lifetime of loving memories is his wife of 53 years, Madeline; children - Barry James Haas (Abeline Fudge), Jeffery Haas, Craig Haas (Tracey), Juanita Supple (Brad), Evelyn Haas-Kaufman (Stacy) and Andre Haas (Pauline); grandchildren - Jessica, Mikayla, Bailey, Christopher, Paige, Emily, Gwen, Katie and Robbie; great-granddaughter - Deserae; siblings - Gregory Haas (Jane), Alice Sullivan and Gordon Haas (Rita); siblings-in-law - Linda Loder (Terry) and Stella Villalta; home-care worker - Cecilia Haas, as well as a large nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Father Camillus Ekedobe conducted the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 6th, 2020 at 11:00AM, interment followed from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brent's Cove, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Jim's memory to “Daffodil Room" c/o Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre - Hospital Auxiliary, P.O. Box 422, Baie Verte, NL A0K 1B0.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
