It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Selma Maxine Rice announces her passing. Selma passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord from the Prairie Lake Hospice, Grand Prairie, Alberta on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 at the age of 62 years.
Selma was born in a small town of Newfoundland in 1956. She married her high school sweetheart, Willie in 1982, where their greatest accomplishment in life is their daughter Gloria. They lived in Seal Cove, NL for many years until they moved to Alberta in 2005.
Selma spent many years working in the service industry where she spent her life making people laugh. She thoroughly enjoyed working with people and dedicated her life to making sure that those around her were shown love, respect and kindness.
Selma is predeceased by her parents - Gordan and Marjorie Rice; sister -Violet; father-in-law - Boyce.
Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Willie Rice; daughter - Gloria (Grant); and the lights of her life, granddaughters - Zoey and Gracie; siblings - Wayne (Evelyn), Kay (Don), Melvin (Angela), Roger (Melody), Robert (Amy), Deanna (Steve), Chloe (Todd), along with many loving nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service took place from Trinity Pentecostal Church, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, April 11th, 2019, with interment followed from Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL.
