Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Verbena Joy Dicks-Winsor announces her passing. Verbena slipped into the presence of the Lord at the Green Bay Health Care Centre, Springdale, NL on Thursday, June 18th, 2020 at the age of 63 years.

Predeceased by her husband – James Martin; parents – Pearce & Ida Dicks; parents-in-law – Edward & Bridget Martin and Reginald & Jessie Winsor; siblings – Juanita Dicks, Frederick Dicks and Molly Dicks; siblings-in-law – Lloyd Ward, Barry Kean, Gerald Martin and Doreen Martin and nephews – Sandy Ward, Michael Winsor, Reggie Winsor and Darren Martin.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories is her husband – Raymond Winsor; daughters – Chastity Andrews (Todd) and Kelsa Winsor, all of La Scie, NL; grandchildren – Molly Andrews, Martin Andrews and Mallory Andrews; sisters – Golda Ward, Neta Butt (Sam) and Irene Kean; siblings-in-law – Carl Winsor, Madge Morgan (Maxwell), Betty Colbourne (Junior), Jerry Winsor (Nina), Margaret Collins (Donald), John Winsor (Ruby), Robert Winsor (Lidoina), Jerome Martin, Ben Martin and Sharon Martin; special niece – Ida Skinner (Walter) and special cousin – Denise Hewlett, who was like a sister, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation or Funeral Service. Captains Brent & Melissa Haas will conduct a Private Family Graveside Service.

We encourage extended family and friends to share condolences, memories and/or photos to Verbena's memorial wall, available on our website. All items will be documented and displayed in our personalized guestbook and presented to the Winsor family.

Ray, Chastity, Kelsa, Irene, Neta Golda and all the families'
We are sad to lose Verbeana but, happy that she is no longer suffering.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ray, Chasitity, Kelsa and all the family. Please accept deepest condolences on the passing of Verbena. She was a beautiful person and always pleasant. Hold your memories of her close to your heart. May God strengthen you in these difficult days Isaiah 41:10
